- GUIDELINES FOR AUTHORS
- Articles submitted to Communication and Society should be written in English. The journal also accepts articles written in French, German, Spanish or Italian.
- Manuscript files must be submitted to office-cs@usv.ro in DOCX/DOC format.
- A single article should not exceed 10,000 words. The article should be accompanied by an English abstract (about 200 words), 5-7 English key words and an appended list of cited works.
- For an effective scholarly communication, all submitted articles will employ the APA Style - https://apastyle.apa.org/ for in-text citations, tables and figures, and reference list.
- MAJOR EDITING REQUIREMENTS
- The page size will be set to A4 (21 cm x 29,7 cm).
- The lines of the entire document will be single-spaced and justified.
- Margins on every side of the paper: 2,54 cm.
- The aligned-to-left title will be written in 12-point Times New Roman capitals.
- The aligned-to-left abstract will be written in 11-point Times New Roman.
- The main text will be written in 11-point Times New Roman.
- Format quotations of 40 words or more as 10-point Times New Roman block quotations. Do not use quotation marks to enclose the block quotations. Start a block quotation on a new line and indent the whole block 1,27 cm from the left margin. Do not add extra space before or after it.
- Footnotes and end notes should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Information that is relevant to the article should normally be included in the body of the text, eliminating the need for notes.
- All works referred to in the text of the paper must be listed at the end of the article in alphabetical order. Do not include works not cited in the article.
- For terminology use italics.
- PUBLICATION POLICY
- Previously published articles will not be considered for publication. However, papers presented in national or international conferences and academic meetings that have not been included in the event proceedings could be considered for publication if at least 30% of the submitted content is new and/or was not part of the presentation in the academic event.
- Authors may cite their previous works, but only in the third person and limit themselves to no more than 3 major contributions.
- The journal uses “double-blind” peer review policy. To facilitate the journal’s anonymous refereeing process, there must be no indication of personal identity or institutional affiliation in the submitted manuscript.
- The peer review process usually takes three weeks. The journal editors will consult all reviewers and issue the final publication decision for every accepted proposal. The manuscripts that are accepted for publication with some revisions need to be returned to the editor(s) within 12 days from the communicated result of the review.
- Authors may be asked to provide full access to their research data during peer review and editorial review.
- The final publication decision also rests on the interpretation of the similarity report issued by TURNITIN. The acceptable rate is below 9%.
- Authors should disclose details about the funding sources supporting their research and declare any potential conflicts of interest that could affect their research.
